A Mumbai magistrate today remanded Peter Mukhejea, former Media tycoon, CBI custody till November 23. Peter today was booked for murder and criminal conspiracy in his step daughter Sheena Bora murder case. Peter was arrested by the CBI yesterday for his alleged involvement in the case. He and his son Rahul were separately interrogated in the matter till late night.
Meanwhile, the court today also extended the judicial custody of 3 prime accused in the case, Indrani Mukerjea, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamwar Rai till December 3. From next month onward the case’s hearing would be conducted in Mumbai Sessions court.
CBI today informed the Magistrate court that Peter knew about the plot to murder Sheena all along and played an active role in the commissioning of offence. The CBI said in court that Mr Mukerjea was in touch with his wife and prime accused Indrani at the time of the killing.
The CBI has also accused Peter for misleading his Son Rahul about the deceased. Peter now faces the same charges as his wife Indrani Mukherjea. Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai were also brought to the court as their judicial custody expired today.
