Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has said that peace is a prerequisite for progress and development of any nation. He was interacting with the visiting Korean Parliamentary Delegation led by the Speaker of National Assembly of South Korea, Chung Sye Kyun, in New Delhi yesterday.

Mr Naidu said, India is a peace-loving country and it wants to have good cordial relations with all its neighbours. Without directly naming Pakistan, Mr Naidu said, one of India’s neighbour is creating unrest in the country by promoting cross-border terrorism. He said, terrorism is global threat to humankind and all should unite to combat the same.

The Vice President said that India and South Korea are natural partners as both have civilization linkages and deep people-to-people bonds, which are the strength of relationship of both countries.He said, India is keen to expand the cooperation with South Korea in Defence and Strategic areas and both sides should proceed for a broad based strategic partnership.
