National Investigation Teams, NIA has ascertained the route taken by terrorists from the point of abduction of Gurdaspur SP Salwinder Singh and to the Air Force Base. NIA sleuths are collecting CCTV footage on the route taken by terrorists.
Teams of the agency are also carrying out searches in the nearby villages along with Punjab police and local villagers for any other evidence left behind by terrorists. The questioning of Salwinder Singh continued for the third consecutive day today. NIA has summoned his cook Madan Gopal and Baba of the Mazaar to the agency headquarters in New Delhi tomorrow for questioning.
Meanwhile the agency also recovered one wireless set of Chinese make with deleted data from a vehicle outside the Pathankot air base. The agency which is investigating the terror attack case, found it in the car which was used by the terrorists to reach the air base.
The Home Ministry said, the wireless set is being sent to Central Forensic Science Laboratory and National Technical Research Organisation for retrieving the deleted data. The recovered set is similar to a wireless recovered from the site of attack in Sambha in Jammu and Kashmir last year.
