13 more people have been killed in the last two days in sectarian violence in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan, taking the death toll in the recent clashes to 124. According to officials, over 50 people also wounded in the ongoing clashes.
The violence, which has involved both armed clashes and ambushes, has continued with reports of fresh fighting in several areas of Kurram. Kurram district has been a flashpoint of sectarian violence for decades due to its mixed population of Sunni and Shiite Muslims.
