Pakistani forces today again resorted to heavy firing and shelling in Bhimber Gali and Shahpur sectors along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
The shelling has so far left a civilian injured. Defence spokesperson told media that Jammu that the forces from across the Line of Control started unprovoked firing and shelling targeting Indian positions and civilian areas around 9 am this morning.
The troops guarding the borderline retaliated and have been giving a befitting reply to the Pakistani shelling.
The exchange of fire was going on till the last reports came in. Since Monday, so far, two army jawans have been martyred while a girl has been killed in Pakistani shelling in Poonch and Rajouri districts. In the wake of escalation in shelling incidents, the schools in the areas close to the Line of Control in Poonch and Rajouri districts have been closed for an indefinite period.
