Pakistan orders probe into Indian leads on Pathankot attack after high level meeting

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday said it would send a Special Investigation Team to Pathankot India, to get additional information about the terrorist attack. The decision came at a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif which reviewed the prevailing security situation in the country.

Earlier Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif constituted a committee/team to probe allegations regarding alleged involvement of certain individuals in Pathankot incident in India.

Rai Tahir, Additional Inspector General Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab would be the convenor of the committee, while its other members include Salahuddin Khan Additional IG CTD, KPK, Azeem Arshad Director IB Lahore, Dr Usman Anwar Director FIA Lahore, Brigadier Noman Saeed ISI and Lt Col Irfan Mirza, MI, said a press release.
