Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was today moved away from Jantar Mantar where he was leading a candle light march for ex-serviceman Ram Kishan Grewal, who had committed suicide.
According to a senior Delhi Police official, the Congress leader was secured in a police vehicle at the protest venue.
Maintaining that Mr. Gandhi was neither detained nor was taken to police station, the officer said, action was only to ensure Mr Gandhi’s safety.
However, Mr Gandhi tweeted that he was detained by Delhi Police and taken away from Jantar Mantar to Feroze shah Road.
