Union Human Resources Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has said that a new and uniform education policy will be evolved soon. Speaking to media persons in Hyderabad yesterday, he said the new policy will focus on accountability, innovation and equity.

He welcomed suggestions on the draft education policy. Stating that the deadline for comments on the draft has been extended till 15th of September, the Minister said the new policy aimed at enhancing quality of education.

He held discussion over the draft Education Policy with the two Telugu States, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Earlier, Mr Javadekar paid glowing tributes to tribal freedom fighter Komaram Bheem, who waged fight against suppressive policies of the British and Nizam at Jodeghat in Adilabad district of Telangana.
