Nepal’s Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has inducted former Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives Shivamaya Tumbahangphe as Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs in his cabinet.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Ms Tumbahangphe in Kathmandu this afternoon.
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli and other dignitaries have also attended the swearing-in ceremony.
The post of Law Minister was lying vacant since the 24th of December last year when Samajwadi Party Nepal had quit Oli Government.
