The Nepalese government has warned Internet service providers in the Himalayan nation of legal action if they allow any cryptocurrency-related activities on their networks. Nepal Telecommunications Authority instructed all internet service providers (ISP) to prevent operating and managing crypto-related websites, apps or online networks. According to the US Library of Congress Nepal and other 8 countries as China, Algeria, Bangladesh, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Qatar, and Tunisia have instituted absolute bans on crypto.

A cryptocurrency is a digital or virtual currency secured by cryptography, based on blockchain, which makes it nearly impossible to counterfeit. Blockchain is a distributed database shared with the node of computer networks. Cryptocurrency can also be understood as an agreement among the networks about ownership of currencies.
