BJP and its nda biharallies today finalised announced seat sharing formula for Bihar Assembly Elections. BJP will contest on 160 seats, Ram Vilas Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party on 40 seats, Upendra Kushwaha-led Rashtriya Lok Samata Party on 23 and Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha on 20.

This was announced by BJP President Amit Shah at a press conference in New Delhi.

Mr Shah said, all differences over seat sharing in Bihar have been resolved, and expressed confidence of winning two third majority in the state.

He said Bihar is going towards jungle raj under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

BJP and alliance partners Hindustani Awam Morcha, Lok Janshakti Party and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party discussed seat sharing and decided on it today.

The consensus was reached at after Jitan Ram Manjhi again met the BJP President.

Mr Manjhi was insisting on more number of seats for his party.

Polls to the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held in five phases between 12th of next month and 5th of November. The counting will be held on 8th November.

The term of the current Assembly expires on 29th of November.
