Governor Unveils Nirgun Chadariya, Authored by Eminent Writer Lalit Garg

The serene and spiritually vibrant land of Uttarakhand witnessed a landmark national event as Mahavirayan Foundation, under the inspiration and guidance of its Founder Swami Devendra Brahmachari, organized the grand conclave “Dialogue for Solutions” at Lok Bhawan, Dehradun. Inspired by Lord Mahavira’s timeless principles of “Live and Let Live” and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The World is One Family), the event brought together distinguished personalities from across India to deliberate on national integration, social harmony, education, culture, ethical values, and human consciousness.
The programme was graced by Governor of Uttarakhand, Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd.), as the Chief Guest. Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, Cabinet Minister, Government of Uttarakhand, and Mahant Shri Lokesh Das Ji Maharaj attended as Guests of Honour. The gathering also included eminent saints, jurists, academicians, senior administrators, industrialists, social leaders, and intellectuals from different parts of the country. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before the portrait of Lord Mahavira, followed by an auspicious invocation. Students of The Lakshya Public Senior Secondary School, Barhwala, Dehradun, captivated the audience with a vibrant cultural performance reflecting India’s rich heritage and value-based traditions.
Mahavirayan Foundation extended a warm welcome to all distinguished guests and delegates by presenting ceremonial shawls and honour stoles. A special highlight of the event was the release of the book Nirgun Chadariya, authored by eminent writer, columnist, and social thinker Shri Lalit Garg. The book was formally unveiled by Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh (Retd.), marking a memorable literary moment that underscored the significance of value-based literature in contemporary society. On the occasion, several distinguished personalities were honoured for their exemplary contributions in their respective fields. Those felicitated included Advocate Anand Prakash Yadav, renowned author Dr. Prabhavikaran Jain, Shri Piyush Jain, Shri Sandeep Jain, and Er. J. C. Jain, Chairman of COER University, Roorkee, with mementoes and certificates of appreciation.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh (Retd.) emphasized that meaningful dialogue remains the most effective way to resolve the complex challenges confronting society and the nation. He observed that Lord Mahavira’s ideals of non-violence, compassion, and peaceful coexistence continue to offer timeless guidance to humanity. Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat highlighted that education, moral values, and constructive dialogue constitute the foundation of a strong and developed India. He stressed the importance of nurturing ethical values among the youth and appreciated initiatives that promote social awareness and national unity. Mahant Shri Lokesh Das Ji Maharaj remarked that Lord Mahavira’s message transcends all boundaries and serves the welfare of humanity. He said that lasting peace and social harmony can only be achieved through dialogue, mutual respect, and selfless service.
In his keynote address, Swami Devendra Brahmachari, Founder of Mahavirayan Foundation, described “Dialogue for Solutions” as more than a programme—it is a national movement dedicated to connecting society, strengthening the nation, and serving humanity. He stated that Lord Mahavira’s principles of “Live and Let Live” and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” provide the foundation for global peace, social harmony, and human welfare. He reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to carrying forward this mission through meaningful dialogues across the country.
Welcoming the guests, Trustee Shri Chand Kumar Jajodia expressed gratitude to all participants and acknowledged the collective efforts that ensured the event’s grand success. The programme was elegantly anchored by Ms. Akshata Jain, while the formal vote of thanks was delivered by Shri Sohan Giri, who expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Hon’ble Governor, distinguished guests, saints, delegates, government officials, partner organisations, media representatives, volunteers, and all attendees.
In his concluding remarks, Swami Devendra Brahmachari thanked every contributor, including the Governor, invited dignitaries, spiritual leaders, speakers, partner institutions, The Lakshya Public School family, media professionals, volunteers, and the entire Mahavirayan Foundation team. He expressed confidence that the “Dialogue for Solutions” initiative would continue to inspire social harmony, national integration, ethical leadership, and human values throughout the country. The programme concluded with a collective pledge to strengthen nation-building, foster social harmony, and spread the eternal message of Lord Mahavira for the welfare of humanity.
