HYDERBAD: (AMN) The fasting Telugu Desam Party President Chandrababu Naidu has been forcibly administered intravenous fluids following deterioration in his health condition.

Demanding better relief for farmers, Mr. Naidu has been continuing his indefinite hunger strike for the last seven days. Nizam’s Institute of medical Sciences Director P V Ramesh told reporters that Mr. Naidu has been shifted to Intensive Care Unit.

 Earlier in the day, an all party meeting unanimously passed a resolution appealing to the fasting Telugu Desam Party President Chandrababu Naidu to call off his hunger strike. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy held the all party meeting to discuss the farmers’ issues. The TDP cadres held protest demonstrations by holding highway blockades at several places across the state. On the other hand the mass hunger strike led by former Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy concluded on Thursday.
