Mumbai’s special court has extended the judicial custody of actress Rhea Chakraborty till 6th October.
Rhea is an accused in the drugs case related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau earlier this month.
She was produced before Special Judge G B Gurao today as her custody was to end today.
More than a dozen people, including Rhea’s brother Showik Chakraborty have been arrested in the case so far.
Meanwhile, Rhea and Showik have filed a bail application in the Bombay High Court that will come up for hearing tomorrow.
Mumbai’s special court had earlier rejected their bail pleas, noting that the duo may people named in their statements and might tamper with the evidence.
Rhea Chakraborty is also facing a CBI probe for alleged abetting the suicide of 34 year old Sushant Singh Rajput.
