Mumbai police has opposed an application filed by Sayed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal, who is facing trial in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case, seeking to recall Pakistani-American terrorist David Colemen Headley before the court in Mumbai.
Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said that a reply has been filed in the court opposing the application. Jundal’s lawyer Wahab Khan had last month moved the sessions court saying that he needs to further cross-examine Headley, so he may be recalled. The prosecution’s reply said Wahab had himself said earlier that he needed only four days to cross-examine Headley. The court is likely to hear the application next week.
