Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of making hollow and false promises. He said, Modi had promised to help farmers, but across the country, farmers are committing suicide.
Addressing a meeting organised by the Karnataka State Congress Committee in Raichur, Gandhi lashed out at NDA for waiver of loans of rich industrialists, while claiming, loan waiver in the case of farm sector is not the government’s policy. The Congress leader said, Congress governments on the other hand have waived farm loans in Punjab and Karnataka.
