Meghalaya Health Minister James PK Sangma has asked the public to follow all COVID protocols laid down by the Health Department in view of the increasing COVID 19 cases in the State.

Meghalaya reported 275 new COVID 19 cases against 162 recoveries in the last 24 hours. The state also reported two COVID related deaths.

In an interaction with media today, the Health Minister claimed that at present there is no need for lockdown as situations are under control. He urged the public to get vaccinated as it is the best way to counter the pandemic.

At present, Meghalaya has a total of 1,318 active cases, 83997 recovered cases and 1492 deaths.
