According to the sources in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dr Singh himself would like to watch the India-Pakistan alongwith Zardari and Gilani.
Dr Singh’s formal invitation sent on Friday to President Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani said that there is “great excitement over the match to be held on 30th March” on both sides of the border. All of us are looking forward “to a great game of cricket, that will be a victory for the sport.” He urged both the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan to visit Mohali and join him and millons of fans from both sides of the border in watching the match.

Pakistan has welcomed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s invitation to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to watch Indo-Pak World Cup cricket semi-final match at Mohali. Official sources said, a decision on the invitation will be taken after Pak PM returns from Tashkent.
