Manipur Legislative Assembly on Wednesday unanimously passed the Supplementary Demand for Grant 2022-23 amounting to around fifty-five thousand crore for various departments of the State.
On the second day of the ongoing Budget Session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, a discussion on the Budget Estimates, 2023-24 was also held with the participation of Opposition Leader O. During the Question and Answer hours, the Leader of the House and Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that the government has taken up steps to restrict outsiders from purchasing land in the valley areas of Manipur. In replying to the question asked by MLA K. Ranjit, the Chief Minister said that the land can be purchased after the approval of the concerned Municipality or Gram Sabha.
