West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has appealed the people of state to maintain harmony during the festive season. She appealed the citizens during a meeting with organisers of Durga Puja in the city. Representatives of all religions were also present in the meeting held in Netaji Indoor Stadium yesterday.
The Chief Minister said immersion of idols will take place till 6 PM on Dashami that is on September 30. There will be no immersion on October 1. Idol immersion will resume on October 2 and continue till October 4.
