BJP has opposed the move. Most people detained under the MISA in the state were associated with Bharatiya Jana Sangh, BJP’s precursor.

In the order, the Govt has asked commissioners and collectors to have the verification of those detained under MISA or spouses of ex detainees, who have passed away, conducted by visiting them.

According to sources in the congress party, CM Kamalnath led MP government is in favour of ending the MISA pension and wants to provide Berozgari Bhatta of a sum of Rs 2000-5000 to the most deserving unemplyed youth in the state
