Leaders, friends, media persons mourn death of senior journalist Roushan Ali

Leaders, friends, media persons deeply mourned the untimely demise of senior journalist Roushan Ali. He was currently working with Millennium Post English daily. He left behind a daughter and wife.

Roushan, 55 died after suffering brain hemorrhagenear near Kanpur while on way while returning from his hometown in Bihar to Delhi his workplace.

Condoling death of Roushan Ali, who has been covering Delhi government for the last 20 years, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted: “So sorry to hear about this, may God bless his soul. My condolences to the family.”

Condoling his death senior NDTV Journalist Sharad Sharma remembers him as an ‘elder brother , senior and guide’ . He tweeted ‘AAP BAHUT YAAD AYENGE SIR’

Press Club of India tweeted: “Senior journalist Roshan passed away following a massive heart attack on Monday evening. The Press Club of India feels saddened over the tragic loss and prays for his eternal peace. A very warm and affable person, he was working with Millennium Post daily in Delhi.”

NDTV journalist Munne Bharti tweeted: “The Delhi government should pay Rs 1 crore compensation to Roushan’s family. The journalist was very active during Covid period and risked his life to cover stories.” He tagged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia.

Roushan was member of Delhi Press Accrediation Committee.

After completing his studies from Aligarh Muslim University, Roushan plunged himself in the world of journalism. He was very popular among the AMU faraternity also.

Roushan was associated with Delhi-based Millennium Post as a Principal Correspondent covering Delhi government for the last 20 years.

“Really sad news. I too knew him personally for over 25 years. He was a good investigative journalist on one hand while a kind and cooperative on the other. I lost a trusted journalist friend in his sudden passing away.” said Senior journalist and executive member, Press Club of India AU Asif

Before joining the MPOST, he worked in Hindi and Urdu dailies for years, said another journalist who knew him. He started his journalism career with Sadai Watan, Urdu daily.

“Saddened by the sudden death of the prominent Delhi journalist Roushan. He was a noble man, kind hearted and ready to help people. He worked as a journalist with mpostdigital and covered Delhi government,” said another journalist Zaffar Abbas

Senior Journalist Andalib Akhter remember him as a ” Very good friend who had vast knowledge of affairs happening around the world”. Now Praying for his soul, he said.
