A direct Flight from Kolkata to the Sri Lankan Capital Colombo will start from Tuesday. The Sri Lankan Government’s low-cost airline, Mihin Lanka will operate this flight thrice a week from the Netaji Subhas Bose International Airport in Kolkata, and cover the distance in three hours.
According to the President of the Indian Association Tour Operators, Mr. Subhas Goel, Mihin Lanka will operate airbus 319 or 320 or 321 flights for the purpose. The fares which range from 26 to 27 thousand rupees will come down drastically. Mr. Goel said that, all tickets for the first two flights have been soled out.
