Kerala’s Kannur district authorities have ordered the culling of pigs in three farms in Nelliyodi, after African Swine Fever was reported at a private farm in the region. A one kilometer radius around the farm has been declared as an affected zone, while a 10 km stretch around the farm has been declared as a surveillance zone. Distribution and sale of swine meat products in the affected area has also been banned for three months.
