Karnataka reported 8,364 new Covid-19 cases during the last 24 hours taking the total tally to 5,11,346. On the other hand 10,815 people were discharged from various hospitals across the state after recovering from coronavirus. The state had conducted 63784 tests.
So far 4,04,841 people have been cured from the infection. 114 people succumbed to the disease taking the total fatalities to 7,922.
Presently, 98,564 patients are taking treatment in various hospitals in the State.
Additional Chief Secretary in the department of health and Family Welfare in Karnataka, Javed Akhtar spoke to AIR on how the state is keeping the fatality rate under control.
