Classes will begin for 8th to 12th standard students from tomorrow in Assam. Sanitation and cleaning works have been done ahead of the opening of educational institutes.
The Standard Operating Procedure issued by Principal Secretary of the department B Kalyan Chakravarthy said that 9th and 12th standard students must attend classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while the rest of the 3 days are reserved for the students of 10th and 11th classes.
For every class, a maximum of 20 students to be allowed to attend and classes will be held in 2 batches. However, the students must carry no objection certificate of the guardians.
Only 50 per cent teachers and non- teaching staff can attend schools. Mr. Chakravarthy said that online classes will also be continued.
