Campaigning for Assembly elections in Karnataka has reached feverish pitch with leaders and candidates of different political parties making all effort to woo voters in their favour.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving on Friday in Karnataka to launch a mega campaign for the Assembly election. He will address a public rally in Ballary on Friday afternoon covering five Assembly segments in the district. The BJP sources say that the Party candidates from Ballary district namely Somasekhar Reddy, B Sriramulu, T H Suresh Babu, Somalingappa and Shilpa Raghavendra will be present during the public rally. Thereafter, the Prime Minister will address a public rally in Tumkuru in the evening.

Briefing the media persons on Thursday in Bengaluru, Union Minister and BJP Karnataka election convenor Shobha Karandlaje said, the Prime Minister will participate in a mega road show titled as ‘Our Pride, Our Road Show’ on the 6th and 7th of May in Bengaluru.

The roadshow split into two days will cover 17 Assembly constituencies. On the 6th of May, the Prime Minister’s roadshow will begin at 10.00 am from the Thippasandra Kempegowda statue and end at the Brigade Road war memorial in the afternoon. The next day on the 7th of May, the roadshow will begin at Brigade road war memorial and end at Malleshwaram Sankey Tank in the afternoon. To reduce inconvenience to the general public the police are making alternative arrangements for the commutation.

On the 6th of May, the Prime Minister will address public rallies in Badami and Haveri after the roadshow in Bengaluru. Similarly, on the 7th of May, he will address public rallies in Shivamogga and Nanjangud after the roadshow in Bengaluru. In Nanjangud, the Prime Minister will offer prayers at the famous Srikanteshwara temple.
