Joint investigations are on to nab the culprits who killed National Investigation Agency (NIA) officer Tanzil Ahmned in Bijnore district today.
Inspector General of Bareilly (IG-Barelly) Vijai Singh Meena told media persons in Bijnor today that six police teams are investigating the case while teams of NIA, Special Task Force (STF) and Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) are also investigating this sensational murder case.
According to police sources, he was also associated with several important investigations including Pathankot inquiry. After postmortem at Moradabad his dead body was handed over to family members. According to reports his mortal remains reached Delhi where he will be buried.
Deceased NIA officer Mohd. Tanzil was returning from a family function late last night when at least two unidentified assailants fired several rounds on him near Sahaspur village under Seohara police station area of Bijnor. His wife also injured and being treated in a hospital in Noida.
