Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) Prof. Mohammad Shakeel today announced that efforts are on start Post-graduation in all specialities of dentistry in Faculty of Dentistry and incorporation of facial aesthetics into mainstream practice to diversify maxillofacial surgery practice at the university. He also stressed the importance of establishing a medical college at JMI, which would offer enhanced training opportunities for future healthcare professionals and advance maxillofacial research in the country.

Over 250 distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeons, plastic surgeons, ENT specialists, and aspiring postgraduate students from across the vibrant landscape of Delhi NCR and beyond participated in the conference
Adding to the grandeur, Dr. Bhagvandas Rai, President of AOMSI, graced the event as the Guest of Honour. With fervor, he emphasized the expanding and pivotal role of oral and maxillofacial surgeons in aesthetic procedures, encompassing hair transplants, Botox, fillers, and thread lifts, thus broadening the horizons of their practice.
