One Army Jawan and two terrorists were killed in an encounter in Anantnag district early this morning. Security sources said, another Army man sustained injuries.

 

The terrorists belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammed group. One of them was Sajad Bhat, the owner of a vehicle that was used in February’s terror attack on a CRPF convoy that claimed the lives of 40 personnel. Security forces described Sajad’s killing as a big success.

 

Meanwhile, two Army soldiers who were injured in an IED blast in Arihal area of Pulwama yesterday, have succumbed to injuries. At least nine Army personnel were injured after terrorists carried out a vehicle based IED blast in the area.
