In major verdict , the Jharkhand High Court today quashed the state government’s decision to cancel the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level, JSSC CGL, examination. The court also set aside the state government’s decision to cancel the recruitment advertisement for the appointments.
The decision has provided major relief to candidates who had been selected and appointed through the recruitment process. However, the court allowed the probe into irregularities in the examination to continue.
Earlier, on August 20, the High Court had stayed the state government’s order cancelling the appointments of government employees recruited through the 11th to 13th Jharkhand Public Service Commission, JPSC, examinations.
On August 18, the Jharkhand government had issued a notification cancelling 22 recruitment examinations, including the 11th to 13th JPSC examinations, following weeks of protests over alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.
