PATNA: Seat sharing for 24 legislative Council seats has been finalised among RJD, JDU, Congress and NCP. RJD and JDU will fight on ten seats each, while Congress has been given three, and NCP one. Out of the 24 seats of Legislative Council that would go to polling on the 7th of next month, JDU had 15 seats, while RJD had three. Congress and NCP had no seat.

The announcement came hours after the alliance between JDU, RJD and Samajwadi Party announced Nitish Kumar as Chief Ministerial nominee for the Bihar Assembly polls in September-October this year. A six member committee, comprising three representatives each from RJD and JDU, will decide the formula of seat sharing for Assembly elections today.
