Jat agitation in Haryana is going on peacefully. No untoward incident has been reported so far. The rail and road traffic is running as usual. As a precautionary measure, the state is on high alert. Haryana Additional Chief Secretary of Home department Ram Niwas has said that till now 55 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in sensitive areas, which include companies of CRPF, BSF, RAF and SSB. He said that administration and security forces are keeping an eye on the situation despite assurance of peaceful Dharnas.

Haryana ADGP, Law and Order Mohammed Akil said that peaceful demonstrations have been allowed at places earmarked by the administration. He said that Dharnas are not allowed at places where prior permission was not sought.

ADGP said that nobody will be allowed to block the national highways, other highways and rail tracks.
