Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said that Indo-Pak border will be completely sealed by December 2018. Addressing the media after holding a meeting of states sharing border with Pakistan in Jaisalmer, Mr. Singh said a time-bound action plan has been prepared and its implementation will be properly monitored.

He said, a new concept of Border Security Grid has been envisaged, in which all the stake holders related to border security are involved. Based on their suggestions, a final shape to Border Security Grid will be given, he said.

The Home Minister said, tension between India and Pakistan has increased, and countrymen should trust security forces and stand by them.

Chief minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje, deputy chief minister of Punjab, home minister of Gujarat and chief secretary of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the meeting to review security arrangements at the border.

The meeting was held in the presence of senior BSF officials.
