India’s healthcare sector is poised to grow to 280 billion US Dollar by 2020 while it is expected to be a leader in e-health by 2019.
A recent Confederation of Indian Industry, CII-KPMG report said that healthcare sector will reach 160 billion US Dollar in 2017 and poised to grow to USD 280 billion by 2020. KPMG is global tax consultancy firm.
The CII-KPMG has launched the report ‘The Indian services sector: Poised for global ascendancy’ at the second edition of Global Exhibition on Services yesterday. It also said that India is expected to be a leader in IT use in healthcare (e-health) by 2019. The report highlighted that services sector contributed about 61 per cent to India’s Gross Domestic Product in the year 2014-15.
