President Pranab Mukherjee has said that India is willing to join hands with Namibia in extraction and value addition of minerals in the resource rich country.
Addressing a gathering at Namibian University of Science and Technology in Windhoek today, Mr Mukherjee said that the efficient extraction of the minerals using environment-friendly methods will contribute to the sustainable development of Namibia’s mining sector.
President Mukherjee said that India places high value on quality education and research for nation’s development. He said that during bilateral talks yesterday, human resource development, capacity building, educational and cultural exchanges were prioritized as areas for the collaboration between the two countries.
President is scheduled to address Indian community at a reception hosted in his honour. Later this evening he will depart for home after concluding his three day visit to Namibia.
