India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar today said that his country will develop all the requisite national strengths that will make it a leading power in the times to come. Speaking at the function organised by traders organisation in New Delhi, Dr. Jaishankar said that India’s endeavour should be to enhance capability and competitiveness along with a business friendly environment.
He said that India has witnessed robust growth, sweeping reforms, radically improved governance, fiscal discipline, infrastructure progress, rapid digitisation and a focus on developing skills in India. He said that there is the larger branding endeavour of today’s India that will make the case to the world. Highlighting on the need to focus on the access to global resources, Dr. Jaishankar said that the combination of Bharat first and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam defines India as a ‘Vishwabandhu’.
He further expressed concern over the rising conflict and tension in the world and poised India as a contributor to stabilising the world. Urging support from the business industry, Dr. Jaishankar said that in the era of AI revolution, trust and transparency are now at a premium when it comes to sourcing and when it comes to collaboration.
