The government has said India has been apprising Pakistan about available details of Mumbai blast accused Dawood Ibrahim including his passport and reported addresses in Pakistan from time to time. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said New Delhi has also repeatedly requested Islamabad to hand over Dawood so that he may be tried in India for the terrorist activities and other offences committed by him.
Mr Chaudhary said the government will keep pursuing this matter through different channels to ensure that Pakistan and its agencies fulfill their international obligations. The minister also informed that the available inputs from different agencies suggest that Dawood has bases in Pakistan.
