Abdul Ghani BhattAll Party Hurriyat Conference leader and its former chairman Abdul Ghani Bhatt has urged India and Pakistan to come together to resolve vexed Kashmir issue.

Talking to this correspondent from Srinagar Bhatt said he hopes that India and Pakistan ‘take up talks seriously so that a solution could be found to the problem of Kashmir’ so that “we could live peacefully”.

He also welcomed the release of stone pelters in the state and said it would have wide ramification in resolving the issue. “It is the matter of governance. The decision taken by the state government in consultations with central government is welcome step”.

I want the two nations to become serious in resolving the issue,” Bhatt told this correspondent from his residence Srinagar over phone.

Asked why he did not hold press conference last week, he said that APHC chairman Mirwaiz has given him certain responsibilities and he was busy with those works. What is that work?. This relates to the re-organizing the party structure.

Talking about encounters he said he sees no end to killings.
