The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to set up Green Fodder Bank to meet the fodder shortage for cattle. Animal Husbandry Minister Anil Sharma told this at a meeting in Nahan. Besides it, better quality fodder seeds would also be provided to people.
Several people abandoned their cattle due to shortage of fodder. These stray cattle not only becomes main reason of road accidents but also destroy the different kinds of crops in the fields.
Now to meet with this problem the green fodder bank would be set up in phased manner in the state. Instruction has been issued to set up such fodder bank in Ajoli of Sirmour district.
Definitely, this step would provide regular fodder to people for their cattle’s and the tendency to abandoned cattle would also be stopped.
