More than 110 people have died due to heat wave and sun stroke related conditions in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in last few days. 66 persons died in various districts of Telangana state due to heat wave, 45 persons died due to sun stroke related conditions in Andhra Pradesh.
The Telangana Disaster Management Commission informed that the reports of heat wave related deaths continue to reach from various districts as several places across the state recording the maximum temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
The authorities informed that the nearly half of the deaths reported from the worst hit drought affected Mahabubnagar district. During the last twenty four hours Hanamkonda

recorded the highest temperature of 41.5 degrees Celsius while it is 41 in Nalgonda and 40.6 in Ramagundem in the state. The authorities have issued warning to people not to venture into sun especially between 10 am to 4 pm.
Andhra Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Chinarajappa informed that 45 persons died due to sunstroke related problems in the state during the past few days. Maximum 16 deaths reported from YSR district while 11 died in Prakasam District.
4 persons died in Anantapur, 3 each in Kurnool, Chittoor and Vizianagaram, two each in Srikakulam and Krishna and one in West Godavari district. The Deputy Chief Minister appealed to the people to be cautious while going out during day time and take precautionary measures to protect from sun stroke.
The state Government also put the district hospitals on alert and directed to provide immediate medical assistance to the sunstroke affected. He also assured all assistance to the families of the deceased.
