BJP today said Uttarakhand High Court’s decision quashing President rule in the state is not a setback for the party. It said, the decision was expected following the court’s comments in the case.
Talking to media, party general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya reiterated BJP’s stand that ousted Chief Minister Harish Rawat did not enjoy majority then and even now. He said, this will be proved on 29th of this month during the floor test.
Mr Vijayvargiya also wondered how the court gave clean chit to Mr Rawat who was allegedly caught offering bribe to MLAs in a sting operation. Replying to a question whether BJP will challenge the decision in Supreme Court, he said it will be decided by the Central government.
