The Rajasthan High Court today directed the state government to deal firmly with the in-service doctors who are on strike for weeks now, pressing for their demands.
The division bench of the High Court headed by Chief Justice Pradeep Nand Rajong allowed the state government to apprehend the doctors under the law, and even under the Rajasthan Maintenance of Essential Services Act 1970.
The order came on a PIL requesting the Chief Justice to take up the matter on an urgent basis.
The doctors resorted to strike yet again even after an agreement with the government last month.
