Five people were allegedly thrashed in Faridabad on the suspicion of carrying beef. However, initial investigation revealed that it was buffalo meat that they were transporting. The police have sent the meat to a forensic lab for further tests.
SHO of Mujesar police station Vinod Singh said, the injured were attacked by 15-20 youth near village Bajri alleging cow-smuggling. He said, case has been registered based on the statement of one of the victims and further action will be taken after receiving the forensic report.
