PM 2Prime Minister Narendra Modi has underlined the importance of irrigation for farmers. He said the Water management is the need of the hour and stressed to think about the interlinking of rivers.

Addressing a Kisan rally in Belgaum, Prime Minister said that government is working to provide 100 percent Neem-coated Urea. He appealed farmers to use only Neem coated Urea.

Prime Minster also said that Indian economy is strong and it is a ray of hope in the world economy.

He arrived in Belgaum this afternoon, as part of his tour to address the needs of farmers and tell them about Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana, the new crop insurance scheme launched by his Government.

PM said even opposition parties have not levelled any allegation of corruption against the government.

He said amid worldwide recession, India has emerged as a bright spot. Prime Minister said despite all odds India is growing at a fast pace.

Prime Minister said if we promote agriculture, manufacturing and service sector simultaneously, we can overcome any crisis.

Stressing on water management PM Modi said had this area been the priority of governments after independence,today situation would have been different.

He further said no farmer would have been compelled to commit suicide.

PM said the plan of water management would get actualised through Pradhanmantri kisan sinchai yojana.
