The Government has set up a Committee consisting of Secretaries of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Personnel and Training and the Department of Legal Affairs to examine the provisions of the Official Secrets Act, 1923. The said Committee has deliberated the concerned issues with various stakeholders. The matter is under consideration with the Committee.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir in a written reply to question by M. Chandrakasi in the Lok Sabha today.
