Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy chaired a high-level meeting on Saturday at CGO Towers with oil companies and dealers to review fuel availability in Telangana. Addressing the media, he dismissed rumours of scarcity, stating,
“There is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or LPG in the state; supplies remain smooth across the country.” Reddy attributed the recent panic to global tensions but reassured citizens of the government’s proactive measures. He declared that the government is committed to secure energy at any cost to ensure citizens face no hardships.
The minister also highlighted the shift toward green energy, noting that the government is promoting electric vehicles and railway electrification to reduce oil dependency. He urged the public to ignore social media misinformation that has caused unnecessary rushes at fuel stations. He concluded by requesting everyone to remain calm and act responsibly, adding that unified cooperation was essential to overcome these global challenges.
