A former US National Guard soldier, convicted of plotting to aid the Islamic State terror group, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison.
Mohamed Jalloh, a naturalised US citizen, was pleaded guilty in October last year of having provided material support to the terror outfit.
He told investigators that he had also tried to travel to Libya and considered a shooting attack against US soldiers.
In September, another soldier was sentenced for 30 years for supporting the group and planning an attack against soldiers at the Joliet Armory in Illinois.
