Mohd Farooq Ansari, a resident of Bhajanpura, whose son Mukhtar Ansari was killed in the police firing has filed a case against the Araria police chief and five others officials in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CGM) accusing them of killing his son and other three people on June 3.

Other who have been accused are Forbesganj SDO, Griver Dayal Singh and DSP Anil Kumar.

The case has been filed following no action being taken against any senior official by the state government in the barbaric killing of poor villagers.

Ansari said that when he heard about the firing he sent his wife to see his son. The wife saw the son in pool of blood and suddenly some policemen took away his son body in jeep. She also got entangled in the firing but luckily escape unhurt.

Four people, including a pregnant woman and a six-month-old infant, were killed and nine others were injured on June 3 at Bhajanpura village near Forbesganj in Araria, about 350 km from here, when the villagers were protesting against an upcoming Glucose factory.
