Flood situation in Assam, has worsened today as new areas are submerged. Official sources said, over 12 lakh population are reeling under the fury of flood in 18 districts. Nearly one lakh hectare of crop areas have also been inundated.
On the other hand, district administrations have set up 220 relief camps where 88 thousand people are taking shelter. Several ministers have visited flood hit areas today to take stock of relief and rescue measures.
